They say practice makes perfect right? Well, in the quest to master creating illustrations using only Illustrator (versus drawing by hand and then scanning) I have created another cutey.

I call her Little Sakura:

The one on the left, dressed in pink, is the original creation in Illustrator. The middle one, in purple, is the same illustration taken into Photoshop with a pattern applied to her dress and a modification to her hair accessories. The last Sakura is the middle version imported into Illustrator. I applied a live trace on her and that was the result, with some modifications. I love the way the dress looks in black and white.
