Monday Challenge: July 6 2009
Here are this week’s challenges! If you are curious about this challenge and want to know more/participate, please read this first.
Challenge for writers, by Bonet Graphic Designs
With the following specifications, write a treatment for a sitcom you would pitch to a cable network that caters to mainstream audiences (for example: ABC, NBC, etc. instead of Sci-Fi, HBO, etc.).
A treatment is a brief synopsis of the idea you want to pitch and how it is suited for television. It can be anywhere from 1-5 pages of persuasive writing, but keep in mind that you are not writing a script. You are writing something you can sell to a corporate network representative, so make sure to have enough details to capture the audience and make them want more, keep them in their seats, etc.
Setting: Puerto Rico, any city/town/municipality
Characters: college-age friends: a mix of female and male, they are not recently out of high school, with real life problems
Time period: contemporary
Challenge for graphic designers, by Prisca
July is national ice cream month! (I kid you not!) Create a design around this theme that can be easily placed on a T-shirt or mug.
Have fun!
Remember to post your story/design no later than Saturday by 11:59 pm. If you want me to post it for you, please e-mail it to me by Friday so I have enough time!
